Shallov is the only band in Slovakia that makes us cry.

Take 3 extremely talented musicians, place them in a studio, and this is what you get. Music that is very real, bone-marrow deep, emotions that make you 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒍. The barrenness of the world, the heaviness this existentialism inevitably creates, and all of the gloom it opens within you.

The point is >> Shallov does not attempt to invent anything new. They know exactly what they want // feel and are extremely good at transferring all of it into their music // art. There is no fuss. No superficial honour. (Yet, there is so much of it. Only, it is all very inconspicuous).

Shallov successfully avoids all the clichΓ©s // epitomes of genre music. Combined with extremely elaborate songs that often span more than 10 minutes in length, they’re eposes that never bore or over-indulge. Brutal, raw, fierce, sorrowful, honest.
